Ordering information

Availability

The 17th edition of The Annotated European Patent Convention will be published on 15 December 2009.

Publication date

Each new edition of the book will be updated till 15 November of a year and published mid December. However, the European Qualifying Examination in March is based on the law as valid at 31 December. Therefore, we will provide update information on our website that covers developments in the EPC from 15 November till 31 December. The information in the book and that on the website combined should allow a candidate to know the law and its interpretation at the end of the year.

Ordering

The book can be ordered directly from the publisher using the editable order form provided on this website. You can order single copies of the book or you can take a subscription to the annual editions of the book. Please give the required number of items under Qty and indicate whether faster delivery is desired.
If a subscription to the annual updates is desired, please indicate the number of copies. The termination of the subscription can also be indicated. If the duration is not indicated, the subscription will run until cancelled. The price of a subscription copy of the book is equal to the price of a copy of the book.

Delivery

In general, orders will be despatched within one week from receipt of the order, provided the book is in stock. Delivery in Europe takes about seven days; faster delivery usually takes three to four days, depending on the delivery address. An effort is made to despatch orders for the 17th edition received prior to 8 December 2009 before the 22 December 2009 by priority mail.

Price and payment

Prices indicated on the order form include packing and postage to West European countries. They are valid for the 16th edition and only when ordering directly from the publisher.
Prices do not include VAT. The invoice will include 6% VAT for Dutch clients and clients from EU member states without VAT registration number. The invoice will be made up without VAT for clients from outside the EU and for companies within an EU member state other than The Netherlands that have provided their VAT registration number.

Payment shall be made in Euros using one of the following methods:

  1. By direct transfer to the bank account of H. Tel as stated on the invoice. No Dutch bank charges are due for an EU cross-border transfer. An EU cross-border transfer uses the BIC (Bank Identifier Code) and IBAN (International Bank Account Number) and split charges.
  2. By credit card, incurring a 10% surcharge.
  3. By PayPal, which incurs a 5% surcharge and avoids the transmission of credit card details.
